Rotta Winery

Rotta Winery is an amazing winery just off of the 46 near Turley Wine Cellars and across the highway from Zinalley Winery and Hunt Cellars.  This is one of the three most oldest wineries in the county.  This place does not have an overly expensive advertising gimmick such as a giant mid-evil castle, or driving range, or a bar used by Jesse James.  In place of all the gimmicks it has a down to earth story about the current owner Michael Giubbini and how he used to work in the vineyard as a child while visiting his grandfather.  "The original vineyard and winery were started in 1856 by a Frenchman named Adolph Siot, who later sold the successful enterprise to Joe Rotta in 1908."  The Zinfandel grapes are over 70 years old and root stock goes down over 35 feet.
I have been to this winery a couple times and every time I go I have the best time. The bartenders are so friendly and fun to be around. This is what makes wine tasting more exciting and fun.  The wonderful grapes that they have mixed and match for such texture and taste to the company that drinks with you is what makes Rotta fun to visit.

Rotta Winery has no irrigation what so ever. They use a technique called Dryland farming.  Dryland farming solely depends on natural rainfall.  These old zinfindale grapes go down over 35 feet and is able to soak up the moisture for way down below.  Rotta believes that by using this method you get a smaller grape but its much sweeter.  Perhaps that's why their dessert wines are the best around.

Estate Zinfandel Port 2009 $31.00

"The sweet Berry-like aromas are accentuated by the full flavor of the Zinfandel grape.  The heavy, smooth, flavor fill your mouth with memories of the 70 year old vines that struggled to produce this dreamy wine." Description taken from their website.

"The Caramelized, Nutty and Vanilla aromas of this baked cream sherry reveal the flavor of the Black Monukka grapes that produced this wine.  After a lengthy aging in small oak barrels, its' richness in the flavor will linger in your mind forever. A wine to be sipped and enjoyed with cheeses and after dinner." Description taken from their website.

PETERSON, PHILIP C, DC - SPRING TO LIFE CHIROPRACTIC

Chronic pain in the body can transform itself in many different ways in one's person's body.  This blog is a little bit about a typical week when I have body aches.   Not being able to sleep on a normal schedule is the most frustrating  thing that starts to happen when I injure myself.  At night my feet get really cold and I am not able to sleep because of the frigid feeling in my feet.

Short description of the following days:

Day 1: Initial day of minor injury -Right ankle starts to swell.  My hips feel torqued, but I am not sure which way.  I then sleep hoping the minor injury will go away.

Day 2: Lower right back starts to feel a sharp jabbing pain. I recollect what I did the day before that would lead me to the conclusion that I did not treat my back well.

Lately I would hurt my back if I did not stretch properly before exercise, or moderate yard work.
As I start to stretch more the pain subsides and I can feel my muscles relaxing more, but the pain resides.
Day 3: Since the pain resides in my lower right back, I usually take it easy for the next couple days. I try to walk around but then my back suddenly starts to hurt more and more.  This is when I really want to see a chiropractor.

Day 4-7:  Other than economic reasons, I try to avoid the Chiropractor because I'm the type of person who wants to not only relieve my symptoms but understand and cure the problems that lead to it.  That would be kind of difficult since the problem develops in my spine to how many hours I sit (posture), the way I lift and work.  I try to get by these achy days with muscle ointment.

Day 7: Walk around the block for 30 minutes, since my symptoms of tendon pain in the foot (plantar) has cleared.
I trace back my pain to how my whole right side from back to my right foot seems to be in some kind of flex state and will chronically hurt anytime I do moderate work.

Day 8: Just got done with a job interview, and my back pain is virtually as it never existed.  Stress will definitely help the little tweaks and torques in your back hurt more.

Overall I was trying to avoid going to the chiropractor because of economic reasons, but all of these symptoms of my back being out of aligned could of been avoided if I just went to see PETERSON, PHILIP C, DC - SPRING TO LIFE CHIROPRACTIC at Spring to Life Chiropractic on 1545 Park St, Paso Robles, CA 93446, (805)237-1924.

Going to the chiropractor I actually cleared many of the symptoms and felt  333% better after my very first adjustment.  That's another long story that I can type up in a case study format another day.   Long story short, I used to have migraines for 6 months straight and tried everything to rid of them up including; becoming a vegetarian, took my wisdom teeth out ($1500 all four), exercising more, decreasing stress...etc.  The main cure and problem was involving my back alignment.

Cheap wine, that's alright. Livingston.

Livingston is the wine that's better than alright. For only $5 at a local Albertsons it's probably one of the best deals out there. The Merlot is the one to buy.  For the past months I have been touring the Paso Robles wine country tasting numerous wines from various wineries.  Some bottles go from $12 to over $80.  I admit they have some really good tasty wine, but if you are looking to save money in this economy, Livingston would be the way to go. It's slightly more expensive than box wine but it's definitively worth it. It comes in a 1.5 liter bottle.  When drinking you ask your self why do you want to spend that much more money for the same thing that can get you buzzed. Sometimes its not the immediate affect of alcohol that gets your dishing out more money for it, but the next day feelings. Next day you want to be able to go to work, go shopping, and take care of your family not feeling hung over. This is the main reason why I recommend this Merlot Livingston.

Eagle Castle Winery "In the Heart of Paso Robles, California"

Eagle Castle Winery is definitely a must stop see while touring wine country on highway 46 west.  If you want to see the real deal, perhaps heading west towards the beach and then north to Cambria where Hearst Castle lies.

Eagle Castle does look huge from the outside, but when you enter there is only 3 rooms.  Straight ahead is the medieval style table that sits at least king, queen, and 10 important people.  The decoration of medieval style antiques, weaponry and items are worth the visit its self.

I don't think you can go swimming but at least there aren't any Alligators charging you a fee to look around... wait whats that shadow in the water.

Bud Light Platinum

Alcohol By Volume
Bud Light 4.2%
Budweiser 5%
Bud Light Platinum 6%

I was at the local Food for Less, and picked up a 12 pack of Bud Light Platinum for $9.99 normally $14.99.  This is the first time I had ever seen the bottle and was impressed by the cobalt cool blue stained glass. Reminded me of a blue sky vodka bottle.  If you saw this bottle under a black light or in a club it would look appealing for the people who sees it and would make them order it too.  This is Anheauser-Busch new premium beer that is supposed to be better than their other beers.
On the bottle the beer even has a contents label that tells you that each beer contains 137 Calores, and 4.4 Carbs. (Good for people trying to keep track of their beer belly)  The moment I twisted the cap off and took a drink, it reminded me of Budweiser but with a slighty different finish.  I figure I could chug 6 of these with my drinking partner and would have a great time.  By the 3rd one I was already slowing down and was past the buzzed staged.  I should of stopped at 4 now that I think about it.  Too late, all 6 of mine were now gone and I was lit.  This Platinum beer tasted similar but had that extra 1% of alcohol to make you get drunk faster.  I didn't think it would make a difference because hard liqueur and wine even has more in it than this.  This drink would be perfect to order at a bar or club because only a few would make the night better.
Meanwhile, the party at home you end up drinking all 6 because you figure you virtually get it for $5, and why not have a blast.  Later on in the night I felt sick and yup, I was sick. So if you go out and buy this beer, take your time and don't be fooled by the other beers you usually drink thinking you can chug a 6 pack as fast as you can. If you do and don't get sick more power to you, but for all you other casual drinkers enjoy the buzz and drink less cause there's more in the bottle than you think. Definitively a creeper beer.

Sony DSC-W560 Review

Sony DSC-W560 Review:
This new Sony DSC-W560 economy camera is definitively not worth the money. The first 30 times I used it the battery did not last for more than 2 days. It seemed like it died when we weren't using the camera. Many months later and after many attempts to us this camera it finally works now.  The pictures i take come out distorted, depending on placement of the lens (Above or bottom), you may get pictures that are bobble head big or pictures that the bottom portion comes out not proportionate or accurate of what you see in real life. It seems to have pincushion distortion, did I even know what this was before I bought it? Nope, but now I know it's an issue even in the renowned Sony brand.  I bought this camera for the cool panoramic option that is has with it, but the pictures don't even come out as what I see in real life. The lighting and the color seem to come out funny in some pictures I have taken.
The camera takes close up (Macro) shots really well.

Just like art if you are able to see the electronics strengths and weakness, you might be able to use it to your advantages. Below are some pictures I would like to share that show those.

2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami

Christmas morning December 25th, 2004, I was set to leave Phuket after staying there for 2 incredible weeks.  My adventures in Phuket consisted of staying at Vijitt Resort Phuket (also known as Phuket Bungalows before the remodel.) From there we did all the fun tourist things to do that is offered in this southern amazing island of Thailand (Hawaii of Thailand).  We visited a local Atving course, Gun range, went island hopping and snorkeling adventures to Goh (Island) Phi Phi, rode on an elephant up a mountain (no seat belts, only hang on to your dear life metal cage), visited old town Phuket and Patong beach of course.
When I stayed at KataThani Beach resort there were some monsoon winds that were picking up and I spotted a guy renting out surfboard and body boards. I rented one off him and went surfing, people thought I was crazy but I had a blast anyways.  KataThani is a west facing resort more open to the effects of a tsunami, compared to Vijitt Resort Phuket which faced east on the island and was protected by the Island of Goh Lon. I found all of this out after the 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami that struck and killed over 230,000 people. Other names for this is Indonesian tsunami, Boxing day tsunami, South Asian tsunami, Sumatara-Andaman earthquake. It had a magnitude of 9.1-9.3 and is the third largest earthquake ever recorded.
The 2004 Indian Ocean earthquake and tsunami struck on Christmas morning. First off, I was glad I did not get stuck out on the Island of Phi Phi during the tsunami because stories came back saying people were running away from the waves on one side, but since the island was so small there was a wave on the other side. They had no where to go except to get to higher elevation.  I'm also glad I was not snorkeling that day because deep scuba divers would of been safer from the waves but not snorkelers. I would have been washed ashore probably somewhere far away from my current location.  That night of December 24th I was offered to stay another night at this beautiful luxurious resort KataThani, but I declined knowing my Uncle who was my very sole purpose of even visiting Thailand was sick. So that night I decided to stay inland at his house and we visited a local pub and called it a night. The next morning this is the pictures I took.

 Sttuck?

 Deep sea eel?

Did someone lose a boat?

Trash in the ocean is horrible but i'm glad nature has worked its' way to using what we trash them with.

R.I.P the souls who have perished in this tragic event, for everyday I am living in search of another level of happiness that I can bring to myself and the world around me.

My Survey is a company who takes the information from your surveys and forwards it to other companies that will then use the demographics information to strategically plan their marketing strategy. In this world of social networking and websites, companies now know that E(electric)-commerce is the way to reach their customers.  What's so great about reach customers online you ask?  Spending less money advertising to a local tv network will in return provide customers with products that are cheaper.  So while filling out the survey's you will be helping everyone including yourself.

Thailand- Get the Bang for your Bucks in Bangkok

Thailand is a great place to bond with your family on a vacation while creating unforgettable memories and "Do you remember that time...",experiences.  Where ever you are around the world, your flight will land in the most populated city of Bangkok (Krung Thep, over 8 million people, recorded).  There is so much culture and magnificent architectural designs in the temples of Thailand. Get your camera charged and ready to go.  Weather you have a current interest in cooking and eating Thai food or just find Thailand fascinating, there is no better place to learn about it than to visit it.  There may be a culture shock at first, but it will soon disappear when you are engulfed into their city life.  There you will expose yourself to the natural landscapes and people of Asia if you choose to travel around the country.  Visiting Thailand is much more affordable and as equally as rewarding as visiting Europe. Thailand is a unique country because when you are there, you soon realize it is the melting pot society of Asia. You will see Thai people of Chinese, Burmese, Vietnamese, Camodian, Indonesian, Indian descent, and mixed ethnicity.  It reminds me much like America in how the middle class can work hard to keep themselves up to date in society by owning cars and amusing themselves with different kinds of pets and being up to date in technology.  One thing I love about Thailand is that education is the key to lifting yourself out of your social economic class in Thailand.  There is such respect to their elders and especially professors and doctors, making it a society who really do care about improving their city.
Elephant Trekking

So if your into the metropolis vibe or the opposite such as camping through out the jungles of Thailand.  You can meet and greet exotic animals such as elephants, tigers and monkeys in certain providence's.

To the south there is a beautiful island that reminds me of the Thailand's version of tropical white sand beaches of Hawaii, but it's called Phuket (not pronounced fuket, but poo-keht).  Phuket's west side of the island was mostly affected by the tsunami in December 25, 2004. Even though the Katathani resort was impacted greatly by the tsunami, they still opened up their doors making it the headquarters to help others in time of need.
On the east side resides a dreamy Luxury star resort called Vijitt resorts.  Before the resort was here the owners made their income from tin ore and farmed tropical fruits to sell in the local market.  There are stories where Vijitt Khoopongsakorn (Grandfather of the resort) used to give back to his community and fellow neighbors, by supplying the less fortunate people with bags of rice from his grain market from downtown Phuket.  This family business is described as "From fruit garden to luxery resort" said Norachai Thavisin from Phuket News.  Since the resort shares the beaches with the Andaman sea it was not drastically affected by the tsunami waves.  Unlike  the west side where its beach fronts were greatly impacted by the large waves from the Indian ocean.  At Vijitt Resort there is an island blocking (Island Lone) the resort from the main waves and will dissipate any strong waves and break them down before they cause any real damage.

Katathani Resort

If you are looking to stay closer to the city life, shops, bars and parties at night, stay here at the 5 star Katathani resort. While you stay at most of these luxury resorts, they usually provide you with a folder with an endless amount of new exciting adventures that depart from the hotel every morning.  These field trips are scheduled out from where to eat for lunch and gives you plenty of free time to go explore places on your own.  For example, one day you could be island hoping from the islands of Phi Phi where Leonardi de Caprio played in the movie "The Beach" and the next day riding an elephant trekking up the mountains of Phuket.

James Bond Islands
Other destinations also include speed boating to the infamous James Bond Islands.  While visiting Phi Phi island you will have a chance to snorkel in these tropical waters of the Andaman Sea that are lush with coral life and beautiful vibrant fish that will eat bread crumbs out of your hands.  If you are the land lock type, don't fear there are jungle all terrain vehicles that will sooth any off-roading enthusiasts.

Pyramid Business

I have always heard of pyramid type of business and schemes. I actually went to one interview to get a job at one because some college friend was recruiting me. I went to this establishment and as soon as I got there, the room I was interviewed in was small and had crooked paintings.  This made me feel suspicious of why the place looked like trash. I know to dress up to an interview, but what about the interviewer aka CEO of the company should be dressed as well. If I was more dressed up than him, then why do I need his company to make me money is what I though. I don't recommend working in a place where the only thing the boss tells your is about money. I don't even remember what product or the reason why or how we could make money.  Other than the reason to charge somone $500 and I make money off their referral.

The following are some pyramid companies-

My brother worked at Cutco as a door to door salesmen and actually convinced my family to buy some. Their knives are really sharp and seem to last forever, definitively better than the cheap ones.  They also bought this scissor that can virtually cut a penny.  It takes a considerable amount of energy, but it actually did. I should cut another one and post it online.  It looks like they sell everything from tableware to garden ware. BUY A MORE EXPENSIVE KNIFE at sears.

Nuskin- I know the bar soap is super natural and works well for your face. I heard unlike proactive that just burns everyone's face off.  Do people even know whats in their shampoo and soap now a days. Do people notice the burning sensation or just think that's the mint working in your face making it clean? (It's not, it may be your reaction to the acid and animal urine they put in your soap.)

Visalus is a company that sells power bars, shakes and numerous health products. I have just been introduced to this company recently and it seems to be the normal pyramid format.  One important thing i could not find on their website is nutritional information. I do believe in power bars and shakes that could be healthy for you as a substitute for the high calorie fast food combos.  It's just that if you have time to make an all natural shake, your body will absorb much more nutrients from something that resembles the shape of what the fruit or vegetable used to be.  Although, if you have an aging grandmother tucked away in the mountains snowed in a couple months of the year, it may be hard for her to get up and make a smoothie.  Let alone go to the grocery store when her drive way is all snowed in.  That's not a problem in California but in most other parts of the United States and surely all of Canada may have that problem.  So why not just let Granny pour some powder high nutrients into a cup and stir like a cup of tea or coffee. I always welcome power bars because sometimes you just crazy food while driving home from work or errands.  Everyone knows rather to wait and binge on a meal when you catch your self some food, its much better for your metabolism (belly fat) to eat small snacks so you don't over eat when you do catch that hot pockets out of your freezer.

Monavie comes in what looks like to be a dark wine bottle 1.5ml. This usually is $15 bottle and you are suppose to drink a shot or so a day to stay healthy. I admit this is really tasty and really healthy tasting, but it does add up very quick when you share it with an entire household. I know someone (not I), that has $1500 on their credit card still from this health drink. If you ask me I would rather go with Visalus or Jamba juice where I get more for my money's worth. It's a commodity that wealthy people can drink and enjoy. Also they are destroying the rain forest to plant these Acai trees, whats up with that? EAT A BLUE BERRY!

In conclusion, I see how some of these interesting companies can be perfectly legit and can make you some money.  The money part comes from your hard work and hard earned money pitching your sales pitch to every thing that moves and has green money in their pockets or bank accounts.  Probably the most important thing of sales is in believing the product you are selling.  Most likely your already using the product and would like to get the discount as a seller of the product. That could be your start in the foothold of the business.(Please comment if you know more on these topics, or if I am wrong about something)

Bored of Mainstream Music

Korean music is interesting because it takes hip hop beats with pop dancing along with the soul from r&b and mixes it all up. I admit there are some weird groups and annoying ones, just like american music.  The american music industry is stuck up and only make famous the artists who sell out. In Korea music is seen to be from the heart. Some of their companies like YG entertainment actually gives a rats ass about their upcoming hot new artists.  They are not like vampires who want your blood money.  With their culture and morals it seems as if Korea has taken over the music industry for being fresh hot and new. Even Will i Am is all up in the mix with them soon trying to release new albums with Koreas best female group 2ne1 Big Bang.  What does that tell you?
If you like Korean pop and video mashup's or just want something different from the booty ass money ching bling videos, check this you tube Fan made video (FMV) artist out ZZAYDi. She also mixes american music with Korean Videos some featuring E.t, Rihanna, Ludacris, Katy Perry, Usher, Big Bang. Boa, 2ne1, Se7vn, Gd, Top.

Job Interviews

If anyone needs a friend to listen to on how to do on interviews, this guy has some experienced questions and some great answers. One thing that worried me was that what if my competition was also listening to this guy too. It would be a little robotic to all answer the same questions the same way.  So you really got to just change your answering style from question to question.  Brian Krueger at www.collegegrad.com has a you tube account with abour 1 minute of video for each video, making it short and simple to watch. Located below is the link to his you tube account. Enjoy

John Francis the Inspirator

There's a saying, "We have 2 ears and a mouth, try to use it evenly or accordingly."  John Francis takes listening to an all new extreme and chooses a vow of silence, in hopes of learning from others.  While silent he managed to earn a Ph.D in Land Management and traveled by walking across the entire lower 48 states.  After only watching this random video of him, I was inspired and will continue too look up more interesting videos that he has done. The quotes are from near the end of the video.

John Francis refused to travel in motorised vehicles after watching two oil tankers collide into each other back in the 70′s. He made a decision to stop talking for one day after spending years arguing with people over the environment.
That one day of silence turned into two days, three days….and then 17 years of silence!
In his TED talk, he discusses what he discovered by listening to others and walking the earth.

Start at 16:20 on video.
"So I realize I had the responsibility to more than just me.  I was going to have to change. You know we can do it. I was afraid to change, because I was so used to the guy that only just walked. I was so used to that person. That I didn't want to stop. I didn't know who I would be, but I know I needed to change because it would be the only way I could be here today. I know that a lot of time we find ourselves in this wonderful place where we have gotten to, but there's another place that we got to go that we have to leave behind the security of who we have become and go to the place of who you are becoming. So I want to encourage you to go to that next place to let yourself out of any prison that you may find yourself in, as comfortable that it may because we have to do something now, we have to change now.  As former vice president said we have to become activist." John Francis

"If we are all part of the environment, then how we treat each other is our first chance to live in a sustainable way," he said. "Make the first step and just keep on until we change and the world changes around us." John Francis

Gateway Computers

Above are  two Gateway computers that the eject buttons never really worked.  One of the computers I click eject and it doesn't open right away. Then when it does I try to put a cd in but it closes as soon as I do, scratching the cd.  My solution, avoid putting cd's in my computer or do it with lightening speed.  I really don't recommend getting a gateway pc other than the monitor.  The monitor is nice for the price and the colors on it are great. These computers have something very wrong with them. It almost seems as if when they were put together, the electronic parts and software were not meant for each other.  The reason why I bought gateway was because it looked like it had the fastest cpu and the most memory and ram for its money.
After one year Sx2800 compact pc's cooling fan stopped working.  The Sx2800 would not turn on at all.  Getting this fixed would probably cost half as much as the computer itself. Luckily my dad, is an electronic engineer and is able to install a better fan that is external.  Since they made the computer so compact, it heated up so much and burned out. After researching online, I found out that this was a common problem.  When turning on the computer it gets stuck on the first loading screen or sometimes turns black and freezes there.  How to fix it? Not sure, I just end up restarting it and hoping that it would work.  Then, I think to myself "What is all the $50 you saved when your computer doesn't even work 100% of the time". It's possible going with an Hp computer could of been better. I don't trust them either.
On the topic of computers, we all know labtop batteries are meant to last about 2years.  When they go out they are expensive to replace and is really annoying.  Especially when you spend over $1,000 for a labtop.  Thats why I stick to a desktop monitor.

The location of this place was not too far from Las Vegas China town off of Springmountain.  I was able to grab an enjoyable lunch, courtesy ride of the nice employees of Mirage Collision.  This is a family owned business since "2010".  All employees looked genuinely happy while treating me with the utmost professionalism, and I actually felt like an important customer.  This place is so much better than the "Normal guys," down the street.  For more info and possible price deductions please contact Ernie or Thuy at the front desk.
